Recording of audio only...no video (garageband does both)

• use mp3 format
• notes can be scrolling across
• can subscribe to a podcast from itunes
• easy to record podcasts, share on wikis

Students can

• record lectures,
• radio show
• combine with blogs
• can take slides from powerpoints and save as jpgs, then put into imovie or photostory

Have students record 30 secs. of what they learned from the lesson, import into wiki and can here the students work

Software---audacity
Built in microphoneserver space or

Audacity/Lamelib(plugin to allow you to export as a mp3)

• just record
• export as mp3 and it flattens it as a mp3(one MB a min)
• put in your metadata....name
• save as a mp3 file....lamelib...first time must be found.

If you open file, it will open in itunes...this is great to grade student work and get ticket out the door.

You can embed this into your wiki, as a file, not a widget....use embed file as the


screentoaster----can show that I am doing on the screen while I am talking.
camtasa------software that does the same as screentowater.
